Job Description

We are looking for a self-driven, enthusiastic product manager to help us build and optimize the best Video-on-Demand service in Latin America. Besides helping us plan for the launch of our new content platform, we are looking for this person to own its roadmap for innovation and evolution.

This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing requirements, defining and refining the vision, and working closely with engineering to deliver winning features. It also includes working with sales, marketing and customer support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager’s job also includes creating visibility of the most important product metrics and driving initiatives throughout the company to optimize those metrics.

The Product Manager is expected to:

• Guide decisions on the content platform – such as platform features, partnerships, evolution.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog, identifying high-priority items to be tackled by the development team.
• Deliver requirements to supply the development teams with enough requirements to support development
• Act as the Product Owner on a SCRUM team
• Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
• Be an expert with respect to the competition
• Help marketing develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
• Perform product demos to customers/partners
• Act as a leader within the company

Desired Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Product Manager
• Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
• At least 1 year of experience working on a video product/platform (VOD, SVOD, Pay-per-view, Free, ad-sponsored, etc.)
• Understanding of video platforms, codecs, DRM is a big plus
• Previous experience as a Product Owner is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent Portuguese & English
• Technical background, with experience in video platforms, web, mobile clients, connected devices (i.e. connected TVs, Blu-Ray)
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
